Erik Trent

Application Engineer

Data and instrumentation specialist

I am a longtime resident of NH.

I have an extensive career in the area of data instrumentation in diverse applications. This has included manufacturing, repair, sales training and support.

In the course of my employment I have excelled at customer support.

The diversity of my employment has given me extensive knowledge of many different technologies. I have developed an innate ability to find a variety of innovative solutions to sometimes obscure technical issues.

I was trained as an electro optical technician in the U.S. Marine Corps. As I progressed through my career I have built upon that, adding new skills at each step.

As an example, working as a contractor, I developed an automated data collection and website reporting system for the NY Transit authority. I specified the hardware and managed the software developers. The system works with a variety of different model Campbell Scientific Data loggers on site, controlled by local CPUs to collect and upload the data to a central server, which loads the data into a MYSQL database for website presentation. To date the system has performed beyond expectations, and is now two years past its specified lifetime.

With my intimate knowledge of systems, I have played a key role in sales support including supervision in the field.
